Ms Barber was incredibly supportive, professional and kind. She made me feel so comforted in every scenario. Even in telling me bad news, she made me feel safe and supported. Ms Barber is an outstanding woman that does incredible work. My reconstruction is amazing and helps me to feel comfortable in my own skin. I won't ever be able to thank Ms Barber enough for what she has done for me.

From my very first appointment to discuss the options available to me I felt confident that I had chosen the right consultant. Zoe’s communication skills are the best I have ever received with regard to clear explanations of the surgery options which were available and she gave me time to make the decision which best suited me. Zoe’s mannerism and character is such a caring and understanding one you feel like you’re her only patient and you’re the most important person in the world the after care given is a very special one I have never received before. Zoe’s knowledge is vast with reference to breast surgery and cancer medications and treatments. I have never received such fantastic care before, during and after surgery. Zoe visited day and night after surgery even in her days off and even rushed back from a family break when informed there maybe an after surgery complication (which there wasn’t false alarm) without hesitation. She telephoned myself at home after a few days of discharge from hospital to ensure everything was fine and I wasn’t in too much discomfort. I would highly recommend Zoe Barber to anyone requiring any form of breast surgery and in future would only let Zoe carry out any further procedures if I required further surgery or treatment. The outcome is amazing Zoe has changed my life, the way my body now looks is a complete transformation and has given me back some much needed confidence. Zoe I can’t thank you enough.

From the moment I met Miss Barber , I instantly felt her compassion. After being diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age, Miss Barber done everything to support me holistically throughout all my procedures and explained everything to me throughly . She gave me her time at every appointment , I never felt rushed and always answered my questions honestly and fully. She gave me strength to get through a very difficult . She listened to my concerns and put me at ease as much as possible whilst helping me face reality . Her bed side manner is impeccable and she is always there to give support and care. Miss Barber completed my mastectomy and reconstruction and I could not be happier with the results and the care I have received and will receive. I have so much respect for her and her work and I’m so glad that it is Miss Barber that is my surgical consultant .

I would highly recommend miss Zoe Barber. I got in contact following a breast cancer diagnosis in 2021 under another consultant and it was the absolute best decision I ever made. The initial contact was with Sara( Miss Barbers secretary) to make an appointment, she quickly put me at ease with her manner on the telephone, she was extremely helpful, kind and quick in responding to my emails/messages. When I spoke with Miss Barber, from the very beginning she made me feel very comfortable and safe in that moment; which believe me, when our world was crumbling under our feet, feeling safe was everything given the circumstances at the time. She displayed such empathy and compassion for my situation. Though given her occupation; she deals with situations like this similar and the same daily, not for one moment throughout my journey with her, did she make me feel like just a number. She genuinely cares and this shines through. I had many questions around the treatment/surgery and Scenarios to run through. Miss Barber made me feel heard and listened to every concern, question and scenario and gave me a very detailed knowledgeable answer for each question and both benefits and drawbacks of each scenario. Each response was so helpful, informative and most importantly, written using language that was easy to understand. Where medical terminology was needed and used, Miss Barber also took the time to explain this. This was extremely helpful as in a situation like that, apart from being horrific in general, it is also overwhelming trying to understand what seems like a completely different language and what everything means. I was able to make an informed decision on my treatment. I was booked in for surgery with Miss Barber shortly after the consultation, the surgery, staff and aftercare at the hospital and was absolutely amazing! Miss Barber came to do the checks herself the next day to check my progress and any questions and concerns( no matter how small I thought) I had after leaving the hospital, throughout my recovery, were answered quickly. I genuinely feel extremely privileged and grateful to have had Miss Barber and her team on the tough journey with me. It was really hard but having professionals that that listen, are informative, kind, helpful and that genuinely care makes it a lot more manageable.
