From my first appointment with Mr. Karamanakos relating to my operation I had in November, I had great confidence that he would take good care of me. I was impressed with his manner as he asked me questions and listened very carefully to my symptoms and concerns before examining me. After examination he explained everything simply and clearly about what was required from pre-scans to open surgery and the aftercare in hospital and home. He explained any risks that could happen and how they would be dealt with. I was impressed with the level of detail he went through with me. I am very pleased to say that this care has continued all the way through. His great communication before and after the operation, with the staff on the ward whilst I was in hospital and his follow-up digital monitoring of drains by text when I was able to go home, was very reassuring and put me at ease. He contacted me to discuss the readings and advise on their time of removal. I believe this on- going care has helped my recovery and his hard work and professionalism is greatly appreciated.
