    About

Sarah Harrison is Specialist Orthodontist registered with the General Dental Council. She is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society and British Dental Association.

Sarah qualified in General Dentistry at Leeds University Dental School, 1989. After qualifying, Sarah worked for a year in General Dental Practice followed by post-graduate studies whilst working in hospital based jobs. Initially this was as a Dental House Officer followed by training in Oral and Maxillo-facial surgery at hospitals based in Manchester and Preston culminating in the attainment of a Fellowship of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow.

Sarah then undertook a 3 year postgraduate Orthodontic course at Manchester University Dental Hospital which resulted in attaining the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and in addition a Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Manchester. Since then Sarah has worked in both Hospital Orthodontic Departments and Specialist Orthodontic Practice such that she has a wide experience of both complex and routine treatments. She enjoys working with children, teenagers and adults and always aims to offer the highest quality treatment investing much time in attending a wide range of courses to help to achieve this. Sarah is able to offer a full range of orthodontic treatment including aesthetic options such as, ‘Invisalign’ clear aligners and ceramic (tooth-coloured) fixed appliances as well as removable and functional appliances.

Away from work much of her time is spent with her family, including three children and being outside, either walking, running after our dog or mountain-biking.
