A problem with your eyesight reigns terror, but where to go for help. The NHS appointment was 3 months away. Moorfields Eye Hospital is the obvious route but it is so inconvenient if you live south of the river. So it was with some trepidation that I contacted Mr Sami Habal after finding him on the internet. My concerns were soon set aside as at the first consultation it was clear that in Mr Habal I had found someone who was dedicated to his work and showed absolute professionalism in both his manner and knowledge. A resultant operation carried out by Mr Habal at Kings College Hospital at Denmark Hill revealed his skill as an ophthalmic surgeon as he corrected the faults in my macular. I do not give reviews easily or often but it gives me pleasure in being able to reassure others that in Mr Habal they will find a true professional in whom to put their trust. John H

Mr Habal was very polite and clear with the information that he provided. He listens and engages in your problem and then gives you his advice and opinion going forward. If I need any further help or advice, I would have no doubts to book a further appointment with him as he seems very experienced on the subject of eye problems.

He made sure to reassure me whenever possible, and answered all of my many questions. I have a follow-up appointment booked with Mr Habal, and I am sure I will once again be in the best hands. Sami was amazing! I highly recommend him, as he was a consummate professional who explained everything in clear detail at all times, which added to the faith I had in his remarkable skill as a brilliant surgeon. My eyes are now repaired, and I no longer need spectacles except for reading! Thank you, Sami!

Easy to talk to and gave time for questions and explanation. My mother is fragile on her feet and was respected and not rushed. Honest and realistic prognosis given.

I have given Mr Sami Habal the highest scores!! because he deserves it!... I am a very nervous lady and anything to do with eyes just terrifies me! Mr Habal made me feel comfortable, no question was too much for him. He is very passionate and caring with his work, highly experienced Ophthalmologist. My problem was 'Vitreomacular traction' a pulling at the back of the eye causing distortion. Mr Habal performed ' Vitrectomy surgery as well as cataract Jan 2022. The operation was a success, recovery time takes a while but I was assured that in time the eye will repair. I do still have the distortion but I must be patient. After care with Mr Habal is amazing, he wants the very best for his patients. Thank you to Ellie his PA, she was with me every step of the way... Thank you to all in the Team. Ciler I.
