My first consultation with Professor Persad as I walked into his clinic, I was greeted with a very friendly smile. He was very attentive listening, understanding and caring. No arrogance whatsoever. He wasted no time booking the procedure. Again I was greeted with a smile. He was reassuring, friendly and informative. I am certain that junior doctors could learn from his excellent bedside manner! He is what I call old school. It was a joy to be treated with respect by a doctor that was there to help heal! Could not recommend more. Professor Persad was very professional and friendly. He walked me through each and every detail of the surgery that I needed to know, and did it in a simple to understand way. No confusion at all. He was friendly, empathetic and professional, and always had a smile on his face during our meetings in the leadup to the surgery and in our meetings following the surgery. On the day of the procedure, he met me to talk about the surgery and visited my family whilst I was still under anaesthetic in order to tell them the surgery was a success. Regarding the procedure itself, it was a total success. He performed two procedures in one go, so that I didn't need to be performed on twice, and it was all successful. There were no complications at all, and I was out of hospital the next morning. Due to my previous condition (penis bent 45° downwards and phimosis) it was essentially impossible for me to use my genitalia with any kind of effectiveness, with even urination being a bit troublesome sometimes. Following the surgery and recovery, everything now works. It is no exaggeration to say the procedure was life changing. Pre-surgery and post-recovery was like night and day. Professor Persad made it clear how the recovery would work and definitely eased my mind during the period. Furthermore, he was both surgeon and consultant, so I didn't need to worry at all about anything being lost in communication. Everything was crystal clear before, during and after the surgery. If there is anyone reading this that has urology concerns, I genuinely cannot recommend Professor Persad enough. He was Empathetic, Friendly, Professional and really made the procedure less intimidating.

I was able to get my first appointment with Professor Raj Persad at short notice, and during the appointment he took the time to make me feel comfortable and listen to my concerns. He diagnosed my condition and explained it to me in full so that I understood it properly. Following a scan and another meeting, he recommended having surgery to treat my condition, which I was able to receive at short notice. The details of the surgery were explained to me in advance, which helped me to feel reassured about the procedure.

Rezum was a life changing operation, day surgery rather than a 3 day stay, and excellent aftercare.
