Upon the moment of meeting Mr Alibhai, I knew instinctively that I had found the right consultant for me. His demeanour is calm and pleasant and I was always greeted with a huge smile. During consultation he advised my diagnosis and treatment plan, in very simple and clear language and was able to provide me with confidence that, whilst I was facing a major operation, the out come will be positive and will once again lead a normal life. During my stay at hospital Mr Alibhai visited daily always reassuring my recovery was normal and on track. He was hands on with redressing wounds and other nursing type activities. Once discharged he followed up with phone calls and text messages to ensure I was happy, comfortable and to let me know he was there and available if and when I needed. I cannot speak highly enough about this super talented surgeon, and one of life's true gentleman.

It’s difficult to express in words the appreciation I feel for being under Mr Alibhai’s care. Before traveling to the UK, I first saw two other surgeons in my country of residence. Both advised that two separate operations would be needed to diagnose and then to remove the lesion in my jaw. They left me feeling extremely anxious about possible malignancy and the risks of disfigurement after surgical intervention. We wanted a third opinion. We took a 12 hour flight and soon after arriving in UK we were warmly welcomed into Mr Alibhai’s consulting room. It was such a relief to talk with him. From the first moment, he was professional, kind, understanding and reassuring. He did not make a drama of anything. He clearly has a great deal of knowledge and experience in his field. The confidence he inspired in us was in huge contrast to how we had previously felt under the care of the other surgeons. Even at that early point he confidently reassured us that on first appearances, there were many indications that this would be a benign mass. His opinion turned out to be absolutely accurate. Mr Alibhai performed a bone biopsy and in the very same operation he removed the entire lesion. It had grown deep and had even broken right through the rear wall of my lower jaw, but it was entirely and expertly removed through an incision inside my mouth to avoid any external scarring. The great care with which Mr Alibhai performed my procedure was evident by the minimal pain and swelling experienced post op, the beautifully sewn up incision, the fact that I did not have any bruising whatsoever and the quick healing of the wound. During the week following my surgery, Mr Alibhai personally called us almost every day to check how I was doing and to offer support. This level of care was so appreciated and made us feel safe and cared about. Mr Alibhai is extraordinarily approachable, empathetic and professional. He was willing to go the extra mile to accommodate us, he made us feel involved, respected, comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire process. I absolutely recommend him without hesitation.

My experience with Mr Alibhai has been exceptional. He is a very dedicated and skilled surgeon who reassured me through my surgery and helped me deal with the side effects of radiotherapy. Not only did he perform my surgery to the highest possible standard, he was also extremely caring and empathetic throughout my treatment and post surgery. He is calm, supportive and very understanding of my unique health needs. Aside from being a brilliant surgeon, he is also a great human being. I’m thankful to Mr Alibhai from the bottom of my heart.

Mr Alibhai is a wonderful Clinician. From the first appointment, through surgery and aftercare I felt in very good hands. He explained what was wrong and how to treat my condition very clearly and answered all questions with compassion and from the point of view of me, the patient. Four weeks after surgery the incision (about 10 cms) is almost invisible so not only is he a great surgeon but his sewing skills are excellent too!
