I saw Mr Alibhai for a tooth extraction as a private patient. I found him professional and personable. He explained what needed to be done and quickly arranged an appointment. I would happily see him again and recommend him to my friends and family.

I found Mr Alibhai to be an excellent consultant from our first meeting he looked in my mouth and said we had better have a look at that, I was quite surprised because only a couple of days earlier I had been telling friends that I thought everything was fine. But Mr Alibhai was spot on it turned out to be severe dysplasia and was treated, shortly after that we had a discussion and agreed that the best way forward was for me to visit regularly and burn away deteriorating areas before anything worse could develop. Under my previous also excellent consultant I had experienced a situation where in 51 days an area went from being something he needed to look at to a stage 2 cancer and I lost quite a lot a oral tissue which is not something I want to repeat. In fact I found Mr Alibhai to be so good that I have been seriously tempted to change hospitals to still be under his care but I am only put off by the journey it would entail, which at times because of my general health might not be a good idea, as the trip to the Royal London is very straightforward. I can make this judgment because I have had oral cancer for twenty years now and have been very blest by the quality of all the consultants who have been entrusted with my care and have remove more cancers than I can now count and stopped so many more from developing. One day this year I might well make the journey to Guy's in order to see how difficult it would be and how long it would take, I rate Mr Alibhai that highly.

Overall, Dr Alibhai is an exceptional consultant and surgeon. He has such a fantastic patient centric approach and he is completely dedicated to supporting his patients to the highest standard possible. His ability to engage, explain and offer suitable treatment options is unrivalled. He diagnosed and treated my elderly father for mouth cancer. He was kind and empathetic in all his interactions with my father and clearly explained all the treatment options available to him. He made himself available to answer questions/queries and maintained regular contact with my father throughout the journey, providing much needed assurance. The end result was Dr Alibhai did exactly what he said he would, performing some highly complex surgery resulting in my father being cured of this dreadful disease. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Alibhai to anyone.
