Mr Parkash Ramchandani is an oral and maxillofacial/head and neck surgeon based at the Harbour Hospital and Nuffield Bournemouth. He specialises in the resection and reconstruction of head and neck cancer, facial skin cancer, facial deformity, and TMJ. He performs procedures such as minimally invasive arthrocentesis and arthroscopy as well as open jaw joint operations such as TMJ arthroplasty and replacement, maxillofacial trauma, salivary gland disease, orofacial pain, cosmetic surgery, and dentoalveolar surgery.
He is also interested in oral medicine, which encompasses disorders like mouth infections, ulcers, and red and white patches and blistering conditions of the mouth lining.
Mr Ramchandani obtained his FDSRCS (England) after qualifying in dentistry at Liverpool University in 1990. He then studied medicine at St Andrew's/Manchester University, graduating with honours in 1997. He has also undertaken a cancer fellowship in Beijing before becoming a consultant at Poole Hospital in 2005.
Mr Ramchandani is the clinical lead for oral and maxillofacial surgery in Dorset and was formerly the clinical governance lead at Poole Hospital. He enjoys teaching and training and is the educational supervisor for two registrars as well as the clinical supervisor for five SHOs. He is also an examiner for the British and Irish Royal Colleges of Surgeons and has been a trainer for the Royal College of Surgeons-accredited Advanced Trauma and Life-support Course.
He has given numerous presentations at national and international gatherings, most recently as an invited guest at the annual British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery scientific meeting, where he gave a masterclass in nasal reconstruction.

Really pleased with the level of care I received. Everything was explained clearly and any questions I had were answered fully. If I had any other issues in the future I wouldn’t hesitate to contact Mr Ramchandani.

I was very nervous and put at ease by Mr Ramchandani and the nurses Jackie & Polly. Really kind and helpful in every way.

I was very impressed with Mr Parkash Ramchandani and the whole experience. He explained everything clearly and put me at ease. He continued to explain each part throughout the procedure as well and I left feeling confident with my aftercare.

Very calm and friendly. Made me feel Comfortable & confident about what he needed to do. I’m usually nervous but was put at ease. Felt no pain at all during extraction.

Everything was explained to me and after the little procedure, I only needed to take a couple of paracetamol that afternoon. He and the young ladies with him were very kind and I've had more pain after a visit to the Dentist. I couldn't fault anything and I'm very grateful.

I was really quite nervous when I arrived at the clinic, but Mr Ramchandani put me at total ease, he explained in detail what would happen during my procedure, explaining the risks and what to expect once the tooth was removed.

I found Mr Ramchandani very calming and explained all that was necessary for extraction of my back tooth.. wasn’t sure on the procedure as I never had an extraction since I was 6 year old.

I was quite nervous, but he very professionally talked me through the procedure, told me what was happening at all times and helped keep me calm. It really put me at ease. The aftercare procedure was well explained also. I felt greatly relieved after, but he made the whole process much easier.
