    Ewen Griffiths qualified in 2000 and works as Consultant Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham University Hospitals Foundation Trust, Edgbaston, Birmingham. 

    He is a specialist in treating patients with Upper Gastrointestinal and General Surgical problems. In 2004, he achieved Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. Higher surgical training was obtained in the North West of England, including Specialist Registrar posts in Salford Royal Hospital and Royal Preston Upper Gastrointestinal Units. He obtained his Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons in 2010. 

    Griffiths clinical interests include Hernia surgery (open and laparoscopic), Gallbladder surgery, Anti-reflux surgery and hiatus hernia repair, Endoscopy (diagnostic and therapeutic) and Gastric and oesophageal cancer management and surgery.

    He has various professional memberships including Association of Upper GI Surgeons, Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons, GB&I West Midlands Surgical Society and European Association of Endoscopic Surgeons.

    He is married with two growing boys and enjoys   cycling; hillwalking, fine dinning and  computer technology.
