My gynaecologist of the last 10 years had recently retired so I was very nervous to meet his replacement doctor Ellis Downes, but to my surprise he was incredibly polite, so well mannered, very old school & very tactile and amazing bedside manner which to me was so important!!! He’s also very interested in the holistic approach which to me is also very important but most of all he’s also a very good listener & has a great sense of humour and makes you feel a tease straight away! Overall I would say he’s one of the best obstetricians I’ve been to in all the years I’ve lived in this country and I certainly won’t be seeing anyone else in the near future!

Mr Downes was highly professional and explained everything clearly. He put me at my ease and made me feel comfortable throughout the examination. The consultation included an ultrasound scan which he did himself, which saves time having to go somewhere else for it.
