Tony Nargol has worked as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon for over 18 years specialising in hip and knee surgery. In that time he has performed over 3000 hip replacements and 1500 knee replacements and is one of a few surgeons to perform revision surgery in the private sector.

He uses A* rated implants and has performed a lot of research into finding the best implants to use for his patients.

He has often been asked to attend USA and Austrlia to give expert evidence on hip surgery in major trials..

He strongly believes in getting patients back to their jobs and sports following joint replacement surgery.

He uses a posterior approach to the hip which allows patients to be in hospital only 2 days and be walking several miles by 6 weeks.

His research into hips has resulted in over 60 presentations at meetings and 30 publications. His work was instrumental in stopping the use of metal on metal hips.
