The overall experience with Mr Shenava since the start of my injury has been truly fantastic. On a number of occasions, Mr Shenava made extra effort to visit me during appointments with the nurse to check my progress. This has made my experience a lot more personal/tailored to me. I feel extremely lucky to have had Mr Shevana as my consultant. I would highly recommend Mr Shenava!

On my first appointment with Mr Shanava he explained everything to me so that I was completely clear on what was happening, and he suggested a steroid injection into my left knee after studying the xrays. This I agreed to and on my next appointment he carried out this procedure. Within a few days I was free from pain and have been ever since. Due to Covid 19 we had a telephone conversation this morning and he was pleased with my progress. He is friendly, polite and professional

Mr Shenava explained my operation in detail and was very reassuring on the morning of my operation as I was very nervous. My follow up appointments were excellent and I cannot fault the care I received.

At all times from my first referral to post-operative care, Mr. Shenava has taken great care to explain all aspects of his diagnosis, recommended treatment, expected outcome and possible complications, but always in a reassuring and professional manner. At the outset, he directed me to a very useful website where I was able to see exactly what was involved in the recommended procedure. His attention to detail was demonstrated by the way he sent me for an additional X-ray and a scan to confirm his diagnosis and inform the operation, and also by his post-operative visits to the ward to check on my recovery and the healing of the wound. He has been very honest about how beneficial the operation would be. but also its limitations, and his advice on exercise and the care to be taken has been invaluable during recovery. I had no pain following the operation, the scar faded quickly, and the recovery went very smoothly. I left hospital three days after the operation and was walking out with a crutch within a week. Mr. Shenava noted that my other hip would need treatment in the future and has kept an eye on its progress. During lockdown when my follow-up appointment was postponed, he rang me at home. I have every confidence in him and would like him to perform any necessary operation when the time comes. I would also note that Staff at the hospital show respect and affection for him.
