The Prof was brilliant

I was treated by Prof. Winter and his team for throat cancer in 2018 and subsequently with follow up assessments. Throughout the the whole process I was very pleased with how everything went and how is was treated, informed and cared for. The health service at its best.

He is very knowledgeable about my condition (IBM) and how it affects my swallowing. The procedure he has done for me recently to help with swallowing has worked and given me a lot better lifestyle. Very professional too.

Professor Winter saw me regarding open throat surgery to repair / cure a pharyngeal pouch that endoscopic stapling had failed to rectify. He listened to my symptoms, discussed the pro's and con's of the procedure with me and we collectively agreed surgery was the best option. Surgery went without a hitch and the results are better than I could have hoped for - a superb surgeon!
