Great handling of the whole process, during the initial consultation he provided me with all the information regarding the 2 different surgical processes and their pros and cons. During surgery day he visited me prior to going into the operating theatre to talk about the surgery, and a month and half on I feel like new, I’ve started to practice sport again without any pain, he’s done a great job at repairing my hernias

The best doctor I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen my fair share!) His bedside manner is second to none, he clearly knows what he’s talking about and he always has time and patience for questions however silly they may be. Only downside is he only does gastro - wish he could be my doctor for everything!

Dr S Gould is an excellent and very professional doctor . I was suffering after my multiple hernia operation for 10 months and when I decided to take a second opinion with Dr S Gould on my first consultation he straight away explained the problem and put me at ease, He solved my problem within few weeks which he had explained to me. Mr Gould is an excellent doctor and communicator.. He is friendly, down to earth, reassuring, straightforward and takes time to explain the procedure at the outset. As well as being a good listener he will answer all questions either on the 'phone or face to face. I was apprehensive awaiting this surgery but I did not need to be. 100% a 5* medical practitioner.

Mr Gould is far and away the best healthcare professional I have ever encountered (and he’s the third gastroenterologist I’ve seen). His bedside manner is impeccable, he is kind, patient, understanding and never dismissive. He has the ability to take the time to listen and answer any questions while still keeping to time. I come away from every appointment with him, be it face to face or on the phone, feeling confident of a plan moving forward and supported by him.
