Mr Sturridge impressed at the first meeting with the clarity of his explanation of the X-ray, the condition and the proposed treatment. He visited on the morning of admission and put me at ease. He visited after the operation and gave a reassuring report. I was without pain from the hip once anaesthetised and have had no pain since. Recovery was swift and mobility was soon re-established.

I found the idea of having a total hip replacement quite daunting and was very anxious prior to surgery. However Mr Sturridge was very reassuring and thorough in taking time to ensure I understood everything. He was clearly very experienced and confident that I would have a positive result and feel the benefit of the surgery. I'm pleased that I've had a straightforward recovery.

Mr Sturridge was totally reassuring from the outset and managed to dismiss a lot of my many fears about having a hip replacement. I had endured decreasing mobility and was unable to walk any distance without walking poles. Within 6 weeks post-op I managed a 5 mile walk with my walking boots and poles along a beach in Scotland. Am now back to our usual coastal and hill walking pain-free. I would urge anybody not to hesitate having this procedure sooner rather than later.

I was very pleased with my treatment and the final out come from my full hip replacement. I am now out of pain and back to swimming and dancing after just 8 weeks. I was walking well after 4 weeks and without any aids in 5 weeks. Mr Sturridge was able to answer my questions and I am very pleased that I went ahead and had the operation.
