My cataract operation had not given me the quality of sight that I had hoped for and it was suggested that my drooping eyelids were excluding light and disturbing my tear film. Mr. Scrawn was very clear that lifting the lids was not a guaranteed solution, but he gave me the confidence to feel that I would come to no harm and that it was worth taking a chance. It was a huge success and my sight is much improved. He and his team were fabulous and the bruising very little. by day 8 when the stitches came out, you would not have even known that I had had anything done.

I went to see Richard Scrawn for an Blepharoplasty operation. I hated my eyes having a hooded look. During the initial consultation, he was very reassuring and explained the procedure. The operation was done under local anesthetic and took roughly 45 minutes or so. There was absolutely no pain, in fact we chatted throughout the operation. I was very surprised at the lack of bruising and I was out in public literally 8 days later and no one noticed anything. I have now lost the hooded look and my eyes seem to be much wider looking. I couldn't have had a better experience. I would absolutely recommend Richard for any eye procedure.

I underwent ptosis surgery with Mr Richard Scawn at The Clinic in Holland Park and I am very pleased with the result. The facilities were impeccable and easily accessible. Myriam was very welcoming. Richard assessed me and then arranged my surgery to allow me to finish operating and then attend as a patient. The surgery was done in just 15 mins with the assistance of Anna. What should have been a daunting process (doctors do not make good patients) was made very straightforward and I am very happy with my eyelid which is now restored to the same height as my other eyelid. Mr Richard Scawn has expertly treated me for botox injections on multiple occasions. His background as an oculoplastic surgeon gives him a superior knowledge of the anatomy of the area and hence he has always given me a natural yet efficacious result. The injections themselves were painless as a very small needle is used, and he has a very gentle technique for injecting. I would not hesitate to recommend him for botox injections or indeed any other procedure. He is extremely professional and caring in his manner.

My upper eyelid blepharoplasty has, quite simply, changed my life for the better and restored my self-esteem. Best investment I've ever made in myself. My family on my mother's side all have a tendency to get really baggy, crinkly eyelids that only get worse with age. I had been secretly desirous of upper eyelid surgery since I had first heard of its existence, back in LA in the 1990s; so I have been waiting a long time. I am so glad that I chose Mr Scawn: he came highly recommended, and for good reason. At the initial consultation, Mr Scawn agreed that my eyelid crease was non-existent; but that I would also need some fat removed from my upper lids, so I would have to have the procedure as a day-patient at St John's and St Elizabeth's Hospital in St John's Wood. The day of the surgery was as much fun as a city break, if not more so. The hospital is first-rate and when I saw Mr Scawn prior to the procedure, he was exceptionally courteous, warm and reassuring. The procedure was a total success and I could see a wonderful difference immediately, even though I was swollen and bruised. I kept a photo diary of my recovery: within 3 days, most of the redness and swelling had gone down; within 2 weeks I was looking gorgeous, wearing makeup, and interviewing handsome men. I hated putting on makeup before I had this surgery. Now I love to put on makeup like I used to in my early twenties. Even better, even my mum doesn't know that I've had the work done because I didn't tell her (didn't want her fretting); the results are transformative but also entirely natural for my face. Mr Scawn is a genius eye surgeon and I am forever in his debt. I cannot recommend him too highly.
