I particularly wanted to see Mr. Haslam as I had received treatment from him years before on the NHS. He is so easy to speak to , makes you feel comfortable and puts you at ease. I could not have asked more from him after my operation, he saw me each day in hospital and very regularly after discharge. I need further surgery for another problem and will request him again and I can highly recommend him to one and all.

Mr Haslam was very good. I felt comfortable and confident that he would only suggest what was best for me. He listened, asked questions to clarify, then advised me on the next steps to help.

Mr Haslam was very professional and put me at ease whilst explaining the procedure in a way I could understand. My procedure went well due to his undoubted skills and my recovery went well.

Earns trust with patients, you feel he genuinely has your best interests at heart. He clearly explains the health issue, how the body works, and the potential long term impact of action/inaction. My only opportunity for improvement is that occasionally I feel he’s giving me just enough information to understand the options but he’s not making a clearcut recommendation, it can feel a little vague, so I find myself summarising his comments and saying ‘so based on what you’ve said, you’re recommendation is xyz?’…. I’d prefer for his expert recommendation to be more forthcoming.

I found Paul very approachable and responsive, prepared to give the time to attempt to explain the procedure, even though I didn’t fully understand the detail!
