Recommended as the best in the business, having many cutting edge (pun intended) solutions for male urinary problems. He inspires confidence and is matter of fact but with a human side too and a sense of humour. Sometimes clinics run a bit late but I suspect that’s because he’s taking time with the person before you and you would appreciate that care if it was you.

Clearly very knowledgable and experienced in his speciality. A good communicator. Very matter of fact (which I appreciate). Did not pressurise me into taking any particular course of action. The choice was all mine. Managed to fit me in to his list at a London hospital despite all the COVID lock down problems. Very happy with the outcome so far; the full improvement in symptoms will hopefully be evident in a month or so's time.

I have always found Mr Barber to be totally professional, extremely experienced and great at explaining everything I would need to know about my condition and treatment.

Mr Barber performed a Urolift procedure, to relieve an enlarged prostate urination restriction. Tamsulosin helped for a while, but the side effects were not satisfactory to me (particularly light-headedness). The benefits and risks, as well as alternative procedures, were clearly explained to me. The procedure itself was carried out in what seemed to me, as the layman customer, a very professional manner. I felt the benefits after a few days and was fully recovered, back to better than before my more recent problems had started, in under 3 weeks. Mr Barber has been pleasant to deal with, professional, friendly, but to the point. So far as I can tell, everything has gone very well, which I can only assume is down to his skill and care in carrying out the procedure. Fortunately, I have no other means of making a comparison! I would recommend Mr Barber without hesitation.

I was referred to Mr Neil Barber by another consultant urologist; a good recommendation in itself. At our first meeting he discussed the options available to me - and their relative advantages and disadvantages - at some length. As a result I felt able to make an informed decision on the way forward. I was admitted to a private London hospital for PVP surgery by Mr Barber; it all went smoothly and I'm recovering well from this.
