My experience with Mr. Jayanthi was excellent from the first consultation right through to having my surgery and follow up consultation.He clearly explained all the details and processes of the surgery I was to have along with my diagnosis and put me at ease throughout the process which was appreciated considering the concerns I had.

From the onset Mr Jayanthi was so easy to speak to and I felt at ease to ask any question without feeling uncomfortable. He was honest and gave me great advice based on his experience regarding the type of surgery he thought would be best to suit me (taking into consideration my medical history etc) I had seen another surgeon prior to this who had not given me direction on what option would be most suitable and I really took on board what was said and went home and did more thorough research to come to my decision. I am so glad I did as I m 100% happy that this was definitely the best option of surgery for me and really am thankful that Mr Jayanthi took the time to give me his expert opinion. I was very well looked after (and still well looked after) by the team and know that if needed I am able to contact Mr Jayanthi with anything. He was there to greet me before the op and again after the op to inform me of how it had gone. I then saw him both days of my recovery in hospital until discharge. He always made me feel at ease and reassured and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him as a surgeon to anyone.

Very pleasant man didn’t mind me asking lots of questions

I had the Gastric Bypass with Mr Jayanthi on the 21st of September. Being 18 I had a few concerns due to going into university only 2 weeks after my operation and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to concentrate in my lectures or i’d get too tired to go in. Mr Jayanthi was nothing but supportive and positive about the whole procedure, he explained everything that would happen, how i would be feeling and reminded me that it’s okay to be tired during recovery. The operation went extremely well, and the attentiveness/care I got afterwards was more than i could ask for. Since the pre-op diet and procedure, in just over 2 months I have lost a third of my excess body fat (roughly 3 and a half stone) and I feel amazing. The recovery has not been a problem and the stitches have healed beautifully! I would not recommend anyone other than Mr Jayanthi, he has done a remarkable job and i’m forever thankful to him for changing my life for the better :)
