Having been diagnosed with Stage 3 skin cancer (MM) and feeling very much like a medical statistic in the system, I was not looking forward to my appointment with the consultant, Mr Akhavani (Mo). However, my reticence was clearly misplaced. Mo's blend of professionalism, compassion and humour helped to build an almost immediate trust and I instinctively felt in very good hands. He answered all my questions patiently, carefully and clearly, imbuing me with a much-needed sense of calm. My surgery (options and procedures) were explained clearly beforehand and performed exactly as described; on schedule and very efficiently. Mo's was one of the first faces to greet me after my operation, ensuring that I felt well and explaining to me and my wife that everything had gone exactly as planned, once again putting my mind at rest. Post op, Mo outlined the next stages of the process, including respective timescales for my results, encouraging me to relax and get on with my life in the meantime. He explained the subsequent test results in detail and, once again, answered all questions with care and diligence. Even though I needed further surgery, Mo continued to support and reassure me (and my wife) that he and his team were absolutely committed to my full recovery. He was true to his word. Cancer is always an unwelcome guest, but Mo’s personal skills, professional abilities and genuine concern was exactly what I – and my family – needed to successfully deal with it. I would recommend him very highly indeed.

Mo was awesome, I have had Botox and fillers in the past but this time I barely felt a thing, and the results worked quicker and lasted longer...Bonus! I discussed having some other treatments done and Mo actually advised me against it for now! Extremely ethical and not out to get you for what he can!! Can't recommend highly enough

Dr Akhavani gave me Botox injections. I had never had Botox or any other cosmetic procedure before. Mo was extremely consultative and told me what I could expect from the treatment and how to prepare as well as aftercare. The procedure was far more pleasant than I had anticipated, I have a low pain tolerance and Mo said it might pinch but I honestly feel more pain plucking my eyebrows. I barely felt anything at all. I had been advised to do the procedure with a skilled surgeon not a cosmetician and I totally understand why. The results are beyond my expectations. I look refreshed without looking like I have had work... No one has noticed that I have had work but a lot of people have commented that I look well and happy... Mo has reached out several times post procedure to let me know how much of the full effect I should be seeing... I am approaching the two week mark now where I should have 100% effect. Mo offered a top up if I need it but I don't, spot on first time!
