Jonathan is extremely proficient, well organised and pragmatic, combining excellent surgical skills with a caring bedside manner. He is clear and concise when explaining diagnosis, treatment and likely outcome and is diligent in listening to and allaying any concerns. He managed my post surgery hopes extremely well, delivering an outcome that far exceeded my expectation.

Jonathan Gill is an outstanding medical professional who (in my experience) combines superb doctor/patient interactive skills with excellent surgical know-how. He imparts confidence and competence to his patients which hugely reduces the potential stress of a surgical procedure and no doubt reduces the post-op recovery time through a clear sense of well being in the patient.

As well as his obviously excellent professional knowledge, he has an unusually good businesslike approach to communication, making appointments, follow-up, etc. It's really refreshing, and nothing like the usual "getting past a dragon of a gatekeeper secretary" to contact him. A modern but totally professional approach to his patient. I also thought that his consultation fees are very reasonable.

Very good initial appointment clearly setting out the alternatives along with any risks. Quick arrangements for surgery on a date that suited me. Post operative information and consultation was excellent. The operation was completely successful and achieved everything I hoped for. Though not a pleasant operation (TURP) the experience made it as good as possible.

TURP I met Mr Gill this week for my post operation discussion, 7 weeks after my procedure for a (very) enlarged prostate. It was a real pleasure to tell him what a great job he had done and how delighted I am with the outcome. Prior to the operation I was getting up 5-6 times during the night and enduring endless emergency daytime toilet trips. The successful procedure has enabled me to quickly get back to a normal stress free active life and moreover get a sound night's sleep. Jonathan Gill has gentle, friendly and professional manner which immediately engenders absolute confidence. I was convinced from the pre-operation meeting, during which as a nervous prospective patient I asked many questions, that I would literally be in safe hands. I was anxious on the day but everyone I met in the hospital helped to put me at ease. Jonathan and the anaesthetist visited me before the operation and that helped tremendously to quell my nerves.
