Mr Marais was very clear to explain the procedure, as well as the recovery and happily answered any questions I had to put my mind at ease. The procedure and recovery was just as explained and the care taken during the stay overnight in hospital was brilliant.

Joe has been my consultant surgeon for a number of months after I reached out to him with my nasal and sinus symptoms which had been affecting my breathing so much so I was not able to sleep at night. Joe has quite simply transformed my life as I'm now able to breath freely and better still I can get a full nights sleep. I was rather complicated as I had a deviated septum due to breaking it as a youngster together with polyps, both needed separate procedures. Joe never made me feel like it was a problem and quickly gained my trust with his calm manner and ability to explain in detail what was the issue and what could be done to help. We never rushed into anything and everything he has done has given his predicted result. Whether you are a complicated case or not, Joe will give you clear and understandable guidance and a workable plan. I recently had a nose reshaping operation with Mr Marais. I had a bump on my nose and had been thinking for years about a rhinoplasty but was always a bit hesitant. Only this year I decided to go ahead and looking at consultants at BMI Clementine's Churchill I was recommended Mr Marais. During the first and second consultation the procedure was clearly explained to me as well as possible complication, which really helped me make an informed decision and evaluate all the pros and cons. I was consulted on what I wanted the final result to be and also given some advice on how the procedure would deliver the best result, improving the appearance of the nose and still keeping the look natural. On the day of the procedure Mr Marais explained the process again and ensured I was still happy to go ahead. I received 5 star treatment at the clinic, from Mr Marais, his surgical team and the nurses. I also received 2 post op consultations to ensure healing went to plan I cannot recommend Mr Marais highly enough and I am 100% satisfied with the whole experience as well as the final result of the procedure.
