Mr Sherafat is very experienced and reassuring - I was quite worried about having this procedure but his clear explanation of what would happen calmed my fears. By the time I had the second procedure, some weeks later, I was so delighted with the result of the first one that I had no concerns at all!

From the first meeting with Mr Sherafat, I felt very confident that I was in very good hands. He was friendly, calm, businesslike, clear in explanations, thorough in reviewing and testing my eyes. In theatre, I was delighted with his stage by stage explanation of each procedure as he enjoyed sharing what he was doing with someone who was very keen to hear and understand. He tailors this to individual patients. Each follow up appointment after both procedures for me was a joy as both Mr Sherafat and I revelled in the success of the operations. I had a tiny concern with an odd flash of light while in the waiting room after the first procedure and Mr Sherafat was not prepared to say it would go away but checked my eye very carefully indeed even though it had disappeared before I entered his room. 20/20 vision was the result! I now have a wonderful view of the world! My second lens is for close vision and his response on checking it was, “Wow!”. He was absolutely right when he said, “After you have had the first operation, you will realise that your other eye is not as good as you think it is.” Boy, was he right! I now have no mistiness and the colours are vivid and white is now truly white! I do not remember being able to see as well as I do now. The inserted Toric lenses have corrected my astigmatism, a thing my Toric contact lenses didn’t fully achieve. I can paint flowers without glasses and drive without correction. I am very grateful to all the care I received not only from Mr Sherafat but also from his PA who was always at hand, very efficient, kind and reassuring. The recommendation I had turned out better than I could have hoped and I would heartily recommend Mr Sherafat to those concerned about their eyes. In fact I have done so already….
