This is the second time I have had surgery under mr Shallaby, ( for completely different procedures, first time was NHS a good few years back, this time I was private, when I seen Mr Shalaby’s name on the list of optional surgeon, I didn’t hesitate, makes you feel completely at ease, explains everything in detail in laypersons language, very professional and a very nice person

Excellent treatment. Only negative comment was that I was not prepared for the longer than expected recovery time. I walk in total 7 - 10 km per day. I thought that post 6 weeks of operation I would quickly regain my walking. This did not happen. It has taken in excess of 12 weeks post operation to be able to get even close to my pre walking distance. I would have liked to have been more prepared for this.

Mr Shalaby explained the procedure to me in a way I could understand. I was pleased with the results.

I really relied on Mr Shalaby’s consultations to get me through the healing of my broken ankle and operation on it. It’s a day job for Mr Shalaby but not being able to walk was temporarily life changing for me. I hugely appreciated the way he escalated my operation because he wasn’t completely happy with the way my foot was set in the cast. On top of that, Mr Shalaby’s non-technical explanations of the break and it’s healing process were critical for me to understand what was happening over the course of the consultations. From the first meeting, I felt reassured that I was in safe hands. The diagnosis for my foot problem was fully explained, the procedure went to plan and the 12 week recovery plan went well. Each visit to Mr Shalaby was held in a courteous manner and the bonus has been at no time did I suffer any pain whatsoever throughout the 12 week recovery period.
