I turned to Hani following a recommendation from another consultant due to several years of intense groin pain stemming from my hip which left me unable to live my life at the age of 30. Madolyn (his PA) was vital in assuring my appointments with Hani were booked in and keeping me up to date at all stages! Madolyn was on call, at all hours may I add and despite my desperation and hassling her with messages and questions regularly she showed so much love and care in each and every response. She made everything so easy for me that it was honestly like talking to a friend! Hani took the time to listen to my story, my history of hypermobility and understood the importance of me getting my life back on track. After requesting a second opinion to ensure a total left hip replacement was the only way and the right way to go… Hani had complete faith that I would indeed get my quality of life back as long as i was willing to listen and put in whatever hard work and determination required! From the very first consultation right to the very last, Hani has seen me at my very worst and now on route to my very best life! Nothing has been much for him, he explained everything simply and to the point without beating around the bush, No question was ever a silly question with Hani. He is honest and firm when required, but most importantly he listens, he has a level of empathy that I feel all consultants should have! My hip replacement went well and after following Hani’s instructions, 6 weeks post surgery, I am on route to getting my life back… one step at a time! I would highly recommend Hani to anyone who is looking for a transparent and caring surgeon or an honest second opinion! If he can’t help, he will do his upmost to find the right person who can! He is empathetic, passionate, helpful and the best consultant I have ever met. I guess all that’s left to say is, Thank you Hani, for giving me my life back, for listening and for not giving up on me! Mr Jabar is an excellent orthopaedic surgeon and a very nice person. He really took his time to explain my diagnosis, surgery and recovery procedures, and he did it in a professional, clear and calm manner. I am also very impressed with the result of my surgery! Thanks to doctor Jabar, all the pain in my knee has disappeared, I am walking again without limping and I am back to sport. I am so thankful and I highly recommend him!

Mr Hani Abdul-Jabar is an excellent, honest and an experienced surgeon. He explained everything thoroughly and patiently from start to finish. From the day I met Dr. Abdul-Jabar I knew I was in great hands. I suffered a meniscus tear and spent almost a year trying to rehab it and after deciding to meet a consultant, I was recommended to Dr.Abdul-Jabar. I read all the great reviews about him but of course I was going to make my own my mind up and I can assure anyone who reads these reviews, that he is exactly as described! He's so compassionate and knew how frustrated with my knee. After getting my MRI result, we agreed to the the surgery - I'm so glad I did. His assistant Madolyn was equally a huge help throughout my whole experience and went out of her way to book a fast MRI and fast follow up. She also was on hand at any time of day when I had questions or needed help - I cannot rate them high enough as a team nor can I ever thank them enough. It's been almost 3 weeks since my surgery and my knee already feels better than it did for the past year and I can finally sleep on my side again. For anyone with knee trouble, you will know how debilitating and frustrating it can be. He Instantly put me at ease, as understandably,. i was quite nervous at our first meeting . I explained my concerns over having general anaesthetic and he was easily able to reassure me about various options. I can only say i came away feeling extremely confident that i was in safe hands . Regarding the final outcome of the operation ,i am absolutely delighted and looking forward to a painless future ahead of me . Mr Hani Abdul-Jabar was exceptional in his treatment. He took the time to explain clearly the results of the MRI, the pre-operative plan, as well as the post-operation outcome. He called the morning after my operation personally to check on my status on a weekend, I imagine out of hours- a testament to how much he cares about his patients. I felt like I was in good hands all the way through the process. I even heard great things about him from the hospital staff during my pre-admission clinic.
