Best surgeon when it comes to nose surgery in my opinion, as I've done a lot of reserach prior my surgery I knew I can trust him. I couldn't be happier with the result. Dr Duncan is a perfectionist, and you'll get the best result, just trust the process.

Overall I had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Mr Atherton from start to finish. In the initial consultation he was very clear about what could be achieved. He answered all of my questions often taking the time to go into detail. Being very conscious of my nose for most of my life, this was the first time I’d spoken to anyone about how I felt about my profile, I was very grateful for the kindness Mr Atherton showed. I had a second consultation after booking in which really helped put my mind at ease and get any final questions answered. Surgery day felt super calm and Mr Atherton saw me for a final chat. He/the nurses ran through all things after care with me again and were very patient in waiting for me to me take notes. The next few weeks we’re a lot easier than I thought. I didn’t experience any pain and bruising was minimal. When the cast was removed, although I was very swollen, I couldn’t believe the difference. At 4/5 weeks post op, I went to a wedding and a couple of other events with family. No one knew I’d had surgery or commented on a change in my appearance, including people who knew me quite well. Given I had a large hump before, I couldn’t believe it. If I told anyone they were struck with how natural it looked and how well my nose fit my face. It’s a real testament to Mr Atherton’s skill and talent. I’m now at 8 weeks post op and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to have a rhinoplasty with Mr Atherton. There’s tangible improvements every day in my profile. If anyone is considering rhinoplasty, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Atherton.

I had a fantastic experience with Mr Atherton. From the initial consultation, I knew he was the right surgeon for my rhinoplasty. He provided clear and detailed explanations and managed my expectations of what was realistically achievable. He’s clearly passionate about his work, a technically gifted surgeon but incredibly humble human being who genuinely cares about his patients. I experienced minimal bruising and scarring and my post op results (at 7 weeks) have exceeded my expectations. My new nose is in harmony with my face and looks like the nose I should have always had. I had been to previous consultations but immediately felt in safe hands with Mr Atherton. He explained the procedure incredibly clearly including anything that could possibly go wrong so I knew all the facts. He was happy to answer any questions I had from the day of the consultation up to the surgery (and afterwards as well). Great experience starting from the initial consultation and still ongoing to surgery recovery (Currently at 8 weeks post surgery). I had Surgery for Septo-Rhinoplasty for a severe deviated sputum, The surgery went extremely well and I am very satisfied with the results, breathing has significantly improved compared to pre surgery. I feel like I was fully informed of any potential issues that could arise. I was made to feel 100% at ease before deciding to go ahead with the Surgery.

Absolutely top-notch surgeon. Skilled, listened and managed expectations and gave me an excellent insight into what I might expect from my rhinoplasty. Just a lovely human being! Mine was a difficult case so I had actually been referred by another cosmetic surgeon, which says it all really. Despite age, thin skin, a deviation, a dorsal hump , over projection and visible nostrils contributing to a nose I was unhappy with, Duncan Atherton has delivered a nose that looks and feels natural and fits my face and frame. He not only matched but exceeded expectations, I have a lovely nose and virtually no outward sign of surgery- my scarring is invisible. Yes I was swollen and bruised for a couple of weeks, but because of my consultation and pre- and post surgery talks with my surgeon, I was fully prepared, and 10 weeks later I can safely say, it is really worth it.

I could not have picked a better surgeon. Not only is Duncan the nicest man anyone could meet, but he is extremely realistic about what can be achieved and also what would suit my face. Had such a great experience with Mr Atherton from start to finish! When I met Mr Atherton for the first time I was in no doubt that this was the surgeon who would perform my rhinoplasty. He automatically puts you at ease and you feel all your worries melt away. He went through everything with me and explained the risks and what realistically could be done and showed me pictures of his work. All his patients look so natural and like they haven’t had work done which is exactly what I wanted. Coming from an Indian background it was important for me to not have people notice that I’ve had surgery. That’s the best kind of rhinoplasty, when it suits your face and doesn’t make you look completely different but you just look like a better version of yourself! On the day of the surgery I was really nervous but as soon as I spoke to Mr Atherton I felt really calm. I had such a lovely nurse too Alexa. She was so nice and warm and I knew I was in good hands not only with Mr Atherton but also with his team. When I woke up I didn’t have any pain and felt better than ever! The next two weeks were not anywhere as bad as I thought, I hardly had any pain, it was more stuffy in my nose than anything else. I would recommend getting a sinus wash after 2 weeks, as Mr Atherton recommended this when I was still stuffy after a few weeks. It helped so much and now I will be using for life as it just clears your sinuses. I’m 7 weeks post op and my nose it looking great! I only have a bit of bruising and the shape is well defined. Its life changing and Mr Atherton is an amazing surgeon. Its so hard to find a good surgeon, spending hours of research and if you don’t have a recommendation from someone you trust, you feel like its like finding a needle in a haystack. I’m so glad I found him through reading reviews on Realself and Doctify. Trust me if you go with Mr Atherton, you won’t be disappointed. One meeting with him and you will instantly trust him and his rhinoplasty results speak for themselves.
