I came across Mr Kosutic when researching surgeons for my reconstruction following breast cancer. From the first meeting it was apparent just how experienced and knowledge he is. Nothing felt rushed and he listened to my concerns and explained the different option available to me. It was decided that I would have an LD flap reconstruction which I am very happy with. Lymphoedema was a big concern as I have had full node clearance. Prior to surgery, Mr Kosutic mapped out the lymphatic system in my arm and although I am fortunate not to have had any issues so far, I am reassured to know that I would be in the best hands in the future. He is at the forefront for dealing with any lymphoedema problems and I will continue to be regularly monitored.

Stage IV Malignant Melanoma - made easier to come to terms with with the help of Mr Kosutic and his fantastic colleagues at The Christie. I was referred to Mr Damir Kosutic at The Christie, by my dermatologist at Tameside Hospital back in August 2014, having been diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma. From the very first day I met him I realised he had a profound caring nature. Not only did he reassure me that he and his team would be with me throughout my ongoing care, but he would involve me in all decisions that would need to be taken - and there have been lots! Mr Kosutic and his team have performed many surgical procedures for me, including wide excisions and more recently in July 2017, a ground breaking, long and intricate procedure (developed by Mr Kosutic and his colleagues at The Christie) to remove cancer deep within my knee using live ultrasound imaging during the operation - quite remarkable. I’ve always had regular check-ups with Mr Kosutic, which are always very pleasant. He listens and reacts to each and every concern I may have and really helps me to stay focused and positive. Now in April 2022, I’m to have further surgery by his most trusted hands - no worries that the job will be a first class one! You will always receive the best and kindest care with Mr Kosutic.
