I would like to say a massive thank you to Mr Kosutic not only for saving my life but for the kindness , the time and the informative manner he took care of me . His positive and upbeat personality alongside an amazing talent is rare indeed . I have had a groin lymph node discectomy and the results are more than I could have expected , my wound has healed beautifully and I have been supported in every way from the wound caring to after care and honestly what a wonderful team of people to have taking care of me. I will always be grateful thankful and remain in contact with Mr Kosutic and I would recommend anyone reading my post to have total confidence and faith in the healing and transformation given by Mt Kosutic and his team . Mr Kosutic came highly recommended by my Breast Consultant, and for that I am truly thankful, because the care I have received along the way has been beyond amazing. Originally, Mr Kosutic was going to perform Diep Flap reconstructive surgery, but because I have a large tattoo on the left side of my abdomen (which would have been grafted on to my new breast), I decided not to go down this route in the end. Mr Kosutic respected my decision, and we both agreed that Latissimus Dorsi Flap reconstructive surgery would be the better option. Phase one of my LD reconstruction was conducted in January 2022, and I could not be any happier with my results. The fact I have two breasts again has not only boosted my confidence, it has also given me my femininity, and a sense of normality back. I honestly cannot fault Mr Kosutic in any way. His surgical skills are of the highest-calibre and I was so lucky to be in his capable hands (literally). He is not only a phenomenal surgeon, he is also a lovely, down-to-earth gentleman who genuinely wants the absolute best for all of his patients. I will always be eternally grateful to Mr Kosutic because he has not only given me a new lease of life, he has also helped me realise that the “breast cancer train” does come to a stop eventually, and that there is light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Damir, Thank you for your brilliant work and sensitive manner during my recent breast reconstruction and symmetry operation. As you were aware, I had been rejected for a reconstruction several times due to my C section scar and slim body type. After a year of consultations with a number of surgeons I had exhausted my options. Then I noticed Damir Kosutic had joined the Christie team and your double DIEP procedure could offer me new hope. I won’t lie, the operation was lengthy and the recovery was tough but the reward was very much worth it. Thank you, thank you for giving me back what cancer had so cruelly taken away. Not just cosmetically but mentally too. I am a happy Rebecca today who is shopping for nice clothes again and looking forward to wearing a bikini on my next summer holiday!

I couldn’t fault my overall experience

Mr Kosutic made me feel comfortable about the whole experience from our very first meeting. Every procedure was clearly explained in a very calm manner with plenty of opportunity to raise questions and receive straightforward feedback.

I feel very lucky to have met Mr Kosutic and very privileged to have been treated by him and his team.I had a grade 1 spindle cell sarcoma in my left calf.Mr Kosutic explained that he would remove it,take a flap from my right thigh(donor site)to replace the tissue removed from my calf and then take a skin graft to cover the donor site.Both operations went really well and I know I couldn't have been in better hands.He is very good at explaining procedures.Apart from being a brilliant surgeon he is a very likeable and modest person.

I am delighted with my DIEP breast reconstruction. Throughout the whole process from initial consultations, the surgery itself and post operative checks Mr Kosutic explained the full details of the surgery in an informative and professional way. Importantly, he has also listened to my concerns as a patient, demonstrating his caring manner and focus on the patient as an individual. My DIEP surgery was combined with a vascularised lymph node transfer, to address lymphoedema that developed in my right arm following breast cancer treatment. I’m pleased to report that the symptoms associated with my lymphoedema have shown significant improvement. The surgery has also resolved peripheral neuropathy in my fingertips. The care I have received from Mr Kosutic, his surgical and nursing team has been exemplary. The Christie is lucky to have such a talented and committed surgeon.
