Mr James explained the procedure well. His manner was extremely re assuring and he made me feel at ease.

Sometimes felt a bit rushed. There has been a lack of information about what I can expect post-surgery and I find myself back at work with the same symptoms I had before the surgery, with nobody to discuss it with - no follow up for several weeks.

Everything was as I expected. It had all been explained carefully. Mr James respected my request not to give a cortisone injection.

I was incredibly fortunate to be treated by Orthopaedic Surgeon, Chris James, both on the NHS and then privately, during the Covid pandemic. His expertise, confident manner and empathy helped to allay my worries, as a pianist, about Carpal Tunnel surgery. This was particularly evident during the procedure, which was done under local anaesthetic, amidst friendly banter. The specialist team of nurses was also efficient, attentive, and very reassuring.
