Mr Adeshina Fawole is a well experienced Consultant General Surgeon seeing private patients at Spire Elland Hospital and Spire Dewsbury Clinic. He completed his medical degree at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, in 1991 before moving to the UK. After moving to the UK, he was awarded his MD by Keele University in 2006. Mr Fawole is also a Fellow in General Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Mr Fawole has over 16 years of experience in general surgery and has special interests in gastrointestinal surgery, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, colorectal surgery and bariatric surgery. In his current clinical practice, he offers a wide range of procedures to treat conditions such as gallbladder disease, gallstones, hernia (including inguinal hernia), sportsman's hernia, obesity and bowel disorders

Mr Fawole specialises in gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy), hernia repair, gastric balloon, gastric banding, gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, duodenal switch weight loss surgery, bowel surgery (colectomy), colostomy and ileostomy. He also has expertise in endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Fawole has keen interest in teaching and training and serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds.
