He graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Salamanca, Spain before completing his Basic Surgical Training in Kent and gained his MRCS upon completion of this training. He continued add to his professional portfolio by undertaking research at University College London Hospital in hip and knee conditions which resulted in various publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at global conferences.
He undertook specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in London and after gaining his FRCS he went on to complete a Fellowship in Hip and Knee Primary and Revision Arthroplasty at the prestigious Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, part of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Another excellent consultation followed by what I can only describe as a relatively pain free hip replacement. I was up and about in a day and home next day. Inspired by the confidence engendered by Mr Soler and his team. As he said on discharge ‘you’re not disabled, you’re recovering, go and get on with your life. (well that last bit was from me, but it’s the mindset Mr Soler creates.

From my first consult with Mr Soler to my discharge following my hip replacement I have have been so impressed with his professional but friendly approach . He was patient and very easy to talk to , explaining everything clearly and making sure I understood . . Also I can’t praise enough all the team involved with my operation and care after , the anesthetist and theatre staff who made me feel so at ease before the op and nurses who cared for me after . Thankyou again , I’ve been very lucky .

Had a total knee replacement and he was very professional and informative. Recovery is going well mainly down to his skill as a surgeon and his advice pre and post op. Easy to talk to and a gentleman, can’t praise him enough!

Mr. Solar Fernandez explained what was involved with my hip replacement showing me what he'd seen on my X-ray. He came to see me after the Operation and said it went well. Seen him again 6 weeks after Operation and he was happy with my progress. Very helpful throughout
