Dr. Ahsan was the consummate professional and he combines that rare quality of being expert in his field together with the ability to work extremely well with his patients. His manner is one of caring and helpful information whilst being open to questions and awareness of his patients concerns and emotions. I doubt I would have got through my recent experience and operation as well without this. He is an all-rounder, and that would be selling him short because he combines all the right qualities you would expect and hope for from the medical profession and they are rare qualities indeed. All communications and information and arrangements were timely and of a very high standard.

Dr. Ahsan was very thorough and reassuring in his diagnosis. I arrived to his consultation room with left arm and chest pain that I wanted to rule out from being of cardiac origin. Despite his first examination indicating that this problem was probably not of cardiac origin, Dr. Ahsan suggested to go forward with additional exams (Echocardiogram, treadmill ECG, and 24hr ECG), to provide further data. Fortunately all the results came back as negative, and once again Dr. Ahsan was very reassuring in telling me that I am not having any cardiac problems. I definitely recommend him.

Dr Ashan has supported me through 18 months of a complex heart condition. In that time, he has helped me remain positive, and has been very realistic and pragmatic in his approach and advice. I have found him to be very supportive and available to me during what was a physically and emotionally demanding period.

Doctor Syed is an exceptionally talented and compassionate cardiologist. I met Dr Syed when I was sort of distressed and in a dilemma about accepting a lucrative job offer as a result of my concern about my cardiovascular health. Dr Syed patiently and diligently assessed me and refereed me for some specialist tests and subsequently he was very meticulous and professional in explaining the outcome to me; which I found very reassuring. I also found his followup and advice on my high blood pressure management very comforting. Overall I found his services excellent and will gladly rate it five star

I found Dr Ahsan to be extremely effective in every way. From the very first appointment he was highly professional, always on time and always followed up in the manner in which he said he would in terms of referring me to other clinics for diagnostic tools and eventual treatment. He was very clear in the way he explained the symptoms, their cause and their effect. He discussed treatment options and clearly set out the medication-based alternatives to a procedure as well as any risk factors that needed to be taken into account in deciding what course of treatment to follow. In the event, I opted for a minimally invasive procedure. Dr Ahsan recommended what he felt was the best available clinic in which to have the procedure and he then went ahead and made all the necessary preparations. Throughout the process he and his office maintained clear and professional lines of communication with me. On the day of the procedure he again took me through a detailed explanation of wha twould be done and what effects I might expect to feel afterwards. After the procedure, he visited me again to explain how it had gone from his point of view and reassured me that it had been straightforward. Since having the procedure (four weeks ago) I have been largely free of symptoms (which was the predicted outcome). The post-procedure effects were more or less exactly as forecast by Dr Ahsan. Overall, I could not be more satisfied with the entire treatment process, from initial consultation, through to having the procedure and then to follow-up. I expect to have two or three more follow-up appointments with Dr Ahsan and I have great confidence that they will be as good as everything that I have experienced up to now. Heart problems are by their nature quite scary. I found the treatment I received from Dr Ahsan, in addition to being effective as far as we can know at this early stage, to be very calm, reassuring and confidence-inspiring. D. Quennell London

I would like to start by saying a massive thank you to Dr Syed Ahsan and his secretary Helen Moss. I have received exceptional care from them both over the last 10 months. I have seen quite a few cardiologists over the past few years since developing AF and SVT during my first pregnancy and I have never had the answers that I needed or the treatment plan that I have now, since seeing Dr Ahsan. I can honestly say that from a relatively young person's point of view, developing a heart condition is the scariest thing I have ever had to come to terms with. I don't know where I would be with it if I hadn't seen Dr Ahsan. I would highly recommend him to anyone out there that's suffering with the anxiety and worry that comes with dealing with the physical symptoms of a heart condition. Dr Ahsan has treated me as if I am important to him, you are not just another number, gaining my trust was so important I doubt I could have gone through with my ablations without him. No one understands what it feels like when you have a heart arrhythmia, even family and friends can't relate to it and from my personal experience it's almost as emotionally challenging as it is physically life changing but with Dr Ahsan and Helen always on the end of an email or phone call I can finally relax knowing that I am in the best hands. I have been treated by Dr Ahsan on the NHS at Barts and privately at the Wellington, on both occasions he went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable with what was going to happen, he also personally checked how I was doing after each ablation.
