Dr Chatu was very calming and reassuring when talking to me regarding my symptoms , very professional and explained everything.

Dr Chatu and his teams were unfailingly friendly and reassuring. They cheered me up with jokes, asked me a few personal questions which put me at ease and made me think that they had a real interest in me. The procedure was quick and pain-free and they gave me a quilt to keep me warm. There was a follow-up telephone conversation which explained very well what my problem was and what to do about it. The only thing that did not come about, was the initial telephone consultation which I had had a letter about, but no one phoned. I would have appreciated someone telling me that either Dr Shatu was too busy or that the consultation was not really necessary.

Dr Chatu has taken good care to explain the necessary steps and with his great team taken the delicate medical procedures to treat me. He has great humility, has listened to everything I have had to say and been decisive with some justification to fix my ailments.

Dr Sukh Chatu explains what his going to do and why. Most importantly he takes the time to listen to your concerns and is very reassuring.

On one occasion he didn’t even have the computer switched on for one of my consultations - how can you refer to a patients notes! Didn’t give me much confidence in him. On the flip side he has been available outside of appointments when my blood tests have come through from my GP. I’m slightly disappointed that my May 2020 appointment was cancelled due to Covid and I have heard nothing as to whether I want to rebook my appointment or been offered a virtual appointment. Feel like I’ve just been forgotten about - I know my condition isn’t ‘exciting’ in the medical world but I would have thought every patient is important.

Excellent Doctor who made me feel relaxed as it’s possible to be when having treatments. Explained everything very clearly and answered all questions fully. Very grateful that he was my Doctor at this time.

Dr Chatu is very knowledgable. He is very polite and patient to listen to the problem and explains procedures and results in plain language which is easy to understand.

I had a particular difficult problem that required a considerable amount of experience and patience to get to the bottom of. As an ex-nurse I recognised that Dr Chatu went to great lengths to get my diagnosis right, [he does not know i was a nurse.] He spent a long time explaining and sharing his thoughts and told me that he discussed my problem in a case conference with his colleagues. He has the most wonderful manner, respectful, kind, and a good listener. I had many endoscopies and they were made easier by how he managed small detail that mattered to me. The endoscopy suite always felt friendly and relaxed when he was there. Most of all, despite the NHS constraints, his reassurance and accessibility and hard work meant that I was properly, treated, and am now fully recovered. I have great respect for Dr Chatu, one of the best doctors I have been treated by, ever.
