Overall, very good experience!

I am very grateful for Dr Goel’s excellent treatment, quick response and understanding of my various conditions. It’s one of the best hospital investigation experiences I’ve had. He is kind, reassuring and helpful and I felt I was in very safe hands throughout.

At age of 20, I have had years of nausea and vomiting with lack of understanding from my GP, but a continuous 9 day 24hr episode of nausea, vomiting, sever stomach pain and no food/water led me to hospital. They re-hydrated me and gave me some tablets which did not help much, and said they’d arrange tests through outpatient as didn’t know what was wrong. My mother decided to go through Dr Goel as I was very depressed, did not want to live this way, and was due to go back to University. On first consultation Dr Goel immediately understood, delved into my history and suggested the various tests within a week. The tests all came as normal, which allayed my fear of serious issues, and he summarised I likely had cyclical vomiting syndrome, which my mother always asked my GP to look into but was ignored. I was prescribed medicine which has helped me manage my symptoms, and my GP has been provided with full details and future needs. I feel able to look forward to my future now as understand how to manage myself now.

Due to the confines of Covid I was able to have the experience of being seen remotely by the splendid Dr Goel who after speaking to me by phone decided that I should undergo a Virtual CT colonoscopy at the New Victoria Hospital all arranged with no fuss & excellent efficiency by his medical secretary. Dr Goel rang me immediately he saw the results of the scan to assure me all was ok & he discussed how to keep my intestines happy ! I found the whole experience quite brilliant - especially due to the Covid confines of medical care at this time.
