Throughout his career, Dr. Gyawali has demonstrated leadership and innovation in service development within his department. He played a pivotal role in establishing a GI Physiology Unit and initiating the first Inflammatory Bowel Disease multidisciplinary meeting at his hospital.
Dr. Gyawali's dedication to excellence is further evidenced by his involvement in medical education and quality assurance. He has served as a Care Quality Commission Hospital Inspector and as an Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians (UK) for the PACES Exam, contributing to the training and assessment of future physicians.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gyawali is actively engaged in research, with publications in international journals and presentations at national conferences. He has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and patients with motility problems.
