Having being referred to Dr Pitcher by my GP after a month of total discomfort, fear and worry, I had my first phone consultation with Dr Pitcher whom I found extremely professional and very easy to talk to. On the day of the procedure, sensing my anxiety and fear, Dr Pitcher and his team reassured me throughout the process. So, my sincere and heartfelt thanks to Dr Pitcher and his wonderful team.

Although it has been a much different experience of working through my medical issue via telephone conferencing due to Covid-19, I can honestly say I have never received such attentive and professional care by a consultant before. Dr. Pitcher has made regular contact and kept me up to date on the progress of reaching a diagnosis through to the end. The nature of my condition is not an easy discussion to have when trying to explain the symptoms and would have been made even more difficult on the telephone if it wasn’t for Dr. Pitcher’s very easy and sympathetic telephone manner. All I can say is a really big thank you Dr. Pitcher for being so understanding, sympathetic and for a swift diagnosis. You have given me my life, confidence and the ability to continue my current job role and onward career.

Overall I have been happy with Dr Pitcher's guidance and well thought out process. We have had hiccups but this is understandable due to the nature of my condition. I hope to continue with the reviews so we can ensure the medication is working. I feel Dr Pitcher will do what is my best interest and wants to help me obtain a more comfortable lifestyle.

In my opinion Dr Pitcher did a great job. I was referred to Dr Pitcher originally as a gastroenterology case, and Dr Pitcher was able to diagnose that actually I had Nephrotic Syndrome (a type of kidney failure). The consultations with Dr Pitcher took place in late March 2020 and mainly because of COVID-19 the consultations were held remotely. Despite the remote sessions, Dr Pitcher was able to diagnose what was wrong, and went on to refer me to a kidney specialist, who I saw within days of the initial consultation with Dr Pitcher. Things that really stood out for me in terms of Dr Pitcher: - Warmth / Concern - it was clear to me from the outset that Dr Pitcher is someone who cares. - Knowledge / Diagnosis - spot on, even though nephrology is not Dr Pitcher's specialist field. - Speed / Efficiency / Follow up - I was a high risk patient at the time of the initial consultation. I remember the initial consultation was on a Monday evening. By Tuesday I was booked in for a CT scan late in the evening. Dr Pitcher arranged for the medical team involved to email him all the results that night. Dr Pitcher then emailed me around midnight on that Tuesday night, to update me with the results. All in all, I would highly recommend Dr Pitcher. He has what I think is a rare and wonderful blend of all the qualities mentioned above. He also has a good sense of humour - something I have always found commendable in any dealings with consultants and staff in the medical field.
