Hi, my name is Avlon, and I've been a home carer for three years now. I provide Live-in, Hourly, and Overnight care to those in need, with a variety of care types, including bathing, toileting, assistance with dressing, catheter care, and companionship.

My priority is to help people lead independent lives, and it's a joy to provide assistance to those who need it. I'm a very caring, friendly and helpful person, and I love meeting new people. I'm highly motivated by helping people live independently, and that's what keeps me going each day.

I can drive and have a car, and I have experience in caring for patients with mild cognitive impairment, bedbound patients, those with Parkinson's Disease, and those struggling with anxiety and depression.

When I'm not caring, I enjoy walking, dancing, playing card games, and cooking and baking. I'm also passionate about decorating. During my weekly daytime job, I provide welfare support to over 65s at the acute Gloucestershire hospitals on a part-time basis.

Outside of these hours I can provide my private clients with support before their discharge. This may involve social visits, cleaning and preparing their home for their arrival (including a grocery shop). Depending on their mobility, I can assist the client home and settle them in. This service can extend to a Sleep-in shift if the client does not yet feel confident staying alone over night. This service can be adapted for couples.
