The midwives who looked after us were always on hand to help and advise. They didn't mind us asking for breastfeeding support multiple times, and were checking in on the the little one and I throughout the night. This helped greatly - being a first time mum. We felt safe, secure and never rushed in the suite.

The Westminster maternity suite was great for my care. All the midwives take great care of you, provide good advice on breastfeeding. Food is great and the view made it a luxury stay. I would like them to think of making sure preterm babies get more frequent consultation from the neonatal team - the mother has constant access to her consultant but the baby does not which is sometimes tough.

I had an excellent experience with my obstetrician, Dr. Manju. During the time that I was admitted to the maternity suite, whenever a midwife came to check on me in my room, I knew I was in good hands. But I did feel (and this was on a number of occasions) that the midwifery was quite understaffed. For instance, the day after my c section, I had to wait 3 hours to have my maternity pad changed as the midwives were all occupied on more pressing matters. While I understand that the Covid situation makes resourcing more challenging, I feel that for the amount of money being charged to private patients, the quality of service needs to certainly be improved upon.

We really enjoyed our stay post a c section birth on NHS. We particularly want to thank Margaret, whose caring, friendliness and support really made the recovery much more bearable and pleasant on our first night.

The staff here are excellent as always, especially given that this is our second time. Always pleasant being here.
