I was told after sitting in the waiting room for approx five minutes that my doctor was running behind by an hour. I completely understand why and did not mind this (he had to undertake emergency surgery) but I felt that I should have been telephoned before arrival. My husband had to leave work early to look after our baby so it was frustrating not to have been notified sooner.
