I was made to feel relaxed and comfortable at all times

Had cataract surgery. Very pleased with the whole experience: efficient, helpful and friendly. A very minor gripe: the cafe is average and coffee poor. Better to get a concession lie Nero.

Positives Pre Assessment and other appointments were all on time and organisation very good. Operation - Booking in was quick and easy. Polite friendly staff who all introduced themselves, explained what they were doing and why they were doing it. Any time I needed to ring bell someone was there straight away. Any queries or questions I asked, they answered or found someone that could. Hospital building very inviting. Actual operation was all explained to me again on the day, so I was aware what was happening. My memory isn’t too good so that was really helpful. I’m a full time carer for my husband and they were very helpful with fitting in with his needs, such as choosing time of op. Negative My original op 24 November 23 was cancelled as I had a flare up. I had to wait until 6 March for the next appt. One of my wounds started bleeding when I was getting ready to leave and it was re dressed. Would have liked to have stayed a bit longer as I was a bit worried about it, but needed to be out by about 11.30. It’s not as easy to get to the hospital now you no longer have the minibus.

Very apologetic re mix up with appointment time. Staff were professional and friendly. Every thing went as expected and I am now recovering. Felt I was well looked after. Comfortable environment and very satisfied
