I have had my surgery done at Surrey Optegra Eye Hospital and will recommend anyone to go there. I go for my regular check-ups in London and can see a big difference between Surrey Hospital and London Hospital. At some point I wondered if London Hospital optometrists ever communicate internally because every single optometrist that I have seen says different things, things that are sometimes conflicting with what other London Optegra optometrists have told me. Exactly for this reason I suggest you to visit Surrey Optegra Hospital - there I felt that a team works as a team.

The London clinic is an excellent facility with great service and delicious food. my only negative point was the blood sample taking. some of the staff really cannot take blood samples which meant that i experienced a lot of pain. eventually the Fla botanist was called and samples taken with no issues. so all well at the end

Receptionist was professional, polite and friendly. There was a 15 minute wait time. Reception area had no magazines.

Very friendly atmosphere.

The whole clinic seems clean and hygienic. The staff are friendly and communicative.Coffee tea and cold drinks were also offered during waiting times. The whole environment seems designed to put you at ease. The consultant was very helpful in all questions asked.

Experience with Dr Romil-Patel I saw doctor Romil Patel and had a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience with him. I had a sever eye infection and went to see him for such reason. He prescribed me eye drops for 2 weeks which bleared my vision. As my work involves working with computer entire day - I asked Dr Patel via his secretary to put a note in the letter for my employer explaining this as the prescribed medication would affect my work. He refused to do this for a private visit for which I paid nearly £400!!!! I really do not think that this is a professional approach from his side! He was more concerned to see me in a few days and then 2 weeks so that he would be paid for such visits!

Amazing experience and after care. Dr Pillai is brilliant and the team are highly trained, skilled and professional. AVC really do care about their patients, I couldn't recommend them enough!!
