The staff were understanding and helpful. It was very easy to book the exams and the follow-up appointment with the specialist. The clinic was extremely clean and wasn't busy. The specialist I consulted with was very friendly. He explained the exams to me in way I could understand. Thank you very much for the great service.

Run like clockwork and most reassuring

Summary - capable and well managed although too much unnecessarily repetitive form filling! Our teenage son spent a total of nine nights in an NHS hospital, having been admitted by ambulance, barely conscious from internal bleeding. He underwent three diagnostic procedures but was discharged with two further procedures to follow at some yet unknown date, and no real explanation of what had caused him to become so seriously unwell was ever provided. Moreover, there were no reassurances that the problem would not reoccur in the meantime. In contrast, we made an appointment on the following Monday to see Dr O’Donohue on the Wednesday, and by the time we spoke to him a diagnostic procedure had already been booked for the Friday at LBH. A procedure to treat the problem, which had been detected on the Friday, was carried out the following Monday by Dr O’Donohue. We hope this has finally resolved the issue. The diagnostic procedure that was done privately was the same as the one done twice by the NHS, and we cannot understand how they did not spot the problem. So whilst the NHS was not only inefficient but seemingly also incompetent, the private service was both capable and well-organised. Our son was in the private hospital for a few hours on each of two days – in contrast with over a week as an inpatient on the NHS. Our only criticism of the private hospital is the ridiculous amount of admin needed – does anyone have nothing better to do than spend hours filling in virtually identical forms?

My experience was good . The Optalmologist consultant Mr Walker I saw was very easy to get on with and gave me confidence about the procedure. He was very good.

After discovering a lump in my daughters chest I was not satisfied to wait NHS timeframes for answers. I made enquiries to find a specialist who could see her immediately. It wasn’t obvious who to take her to but upon calling the general enquiries number I was given amazing care by the team member who was able to offer me options on what would be the best course to pursue. I am so grateful they took the time to explore the best options for specialist treatment. At the centre I saw Dr Lobo who was fantastic, friendly, warm, understanding and very professional. After examination and I’m educate scan I was given the positive news. The overall Experience was amazing and I would highly recommend.

I’ve had a very good experience in that the investigations were carried out swiftly and sympathetically and a treatment plan put in place. The MLD sessions have been most enjoyable and seem to help a lot with my symptoms.
