Doctor Hamid is clearly experienced, has a light hearted approach and smile on his face. Overall, I had apositive patient experience with him. A few improvements to note for the future based on my experience: - I had the impression, both in the 1st call and on the day of surgery, that he was in a hurry and was looking forward to cut it short with me. - The first appointment with him was scheduled as video call and I was expecting that, however it was run by telephone. This uncommunicated and unexplained change in the moment made me uncomfortable because as a patient I'd like to build trust and easen up with the surgeon.

I have been to a few ophthalmologists, and Vicky was by far the best. Everyone should try and see her. She was not only accurate, understanding and empathetic, but has a hands on approach, overseeing all of her patients and medical staff rather than just delegating to juniors.

I had a very satisfying experience with Mr James Neffendorf. Due to the cataract surgery performed, I am now able to see better and feel more confident.

I recently had a lower eyelid operation preformed by Mr Lorenzo at Southampton Hospital Eye Unit. Throughout the consultation, operation and the follow up appointment I found him to be exceptional professional. He explained everything very clearly with the procedure and also how successful the operation had been. During the operation he was in total control and I was highly impressed with his and his team's performance. I could not fault any part of the procedure.

the consultation was useful but there was no follow-up booked as promised, and the PA was uncontactable moving forwards (either by phone or email). From previous reviews I can see this is not abnormal which is not reassuring for anyone moving forwards.

From my very first appointment with Dr Elizabeth Hawkes I felt extremely reassured that she was going to achieve what I was looking for. I felt 100% comfortable & confident with her. She listened to my concerns and guided me with what she felt would be the best solution for me. I have since had my surgery and I’m at week four with amazing results! Thank you Dr Elizabeth Hawkes for making me feel confident in myself again, I would highly recommend you to anyone.

Bedside manner no applicable, but operation for cataracts was good.
