My appointment was booked over the phone for 9.45am 3/2/23 as the practice had called me to say my impressions were back , turned up to find no appointment had been put in the dentists diary , when asked how that could happen the receptionist was so rude and her attitude towards me was appalling and she came across with that attitude I heard when dealing with everyone whilst I was waiting In reception for it to be resolved that she just didn’t want to be there and an appalling employee for your company , she refused to give her name when asked hence this complaint

I’ve been three times over the last month and have been happy with the quality of care I have received. Jenna and Fran are very friendly and work well with one another. The practice is always very clean and I appreciate the updates on waiting times given by the receptionists.

I realise that I have been very spoilt having Dr James Meade as my dentist up till now. Dr Meade is excellent with diagnostics, but also gentle and respectful with patients and just simply the best dentist! He has moved on to private practice and sadly the experience I had with locum dentist at Damira was horrible. Not only did the locum have a harsh manner of speaking, but was also rough when working in my mouth. I felt quite nervous at her insensitive way of handling things. Definitely not seeing this locum again.

Although my overall experience was good and I am happy I had the surgery, there are some negatives to my experience. I was put off by the doctor and nurse chatting socially over me all during the procedure. I felt it was too much and I wanted the doctor to fully concentrate on my procedure. No one told me anything about what I might experience afterwards in the early stages. I had a really strong pounding in my ears. Also no one asked me if I had tinnitus, which I have, and which was much worse for a few days. I was anxious this would never improve. I fed this back to the nurse who rang me and she said she would talk to a doctor. However no one ever contacted me about it. I don't think enough care was taken to make sure both my ears looked the same. That's been disappointing. I find I'm now unable to wear earrings for pierced ears. This is beyond disappointing as I'd been wearing them for 45 years. They are always difficult and sore to put in and take out now. I feel you should advise people to leave re piercing for a much longer period than 6 weeks, which is what I was advised would be enough time. Finally, I needed more of the ointment supplied and did not find it easy to obtain more without saying what it was for, which I was reluctant to do. A larger tube would help here.
