Tom Cullinan is a compassionate and experienced counsellor offering confidential support to individuals navigating a wide range of emotional, psychological, and life challenges. An accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), Tom graduated from The Counselling Centre Training Institute in Cork in 2007 with a Diploma in Counselling.
Tom takes an Integrative Humanistic approach to therapy, drawing on Person-Centred, CBT, and Rogerian models to tailor support to each client’s unique needs. He works with issues such as addiction, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, and work-related concerns. Tom has a particular interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, and those facing multicultural or cross-cultural challenges.
His diverse experience includes working with organisations such as Enable Ireland, Tusla, and the Irish Kidney Association, as well as providing Employee Assistance Programmes. He also offers guidance for those affected by addiction, including family members, and can support engagement with 12-Step programmes.
With a professional background in the electronics industry, from shop floor to senior management, Tom brings practical insight to his therapeutic work. He offers counselling in person, online, and by phone, creating a flexible and accessible service for all clients.

I was suffering with some anxiety recently and was allocated Tom through VHI. From the first session I felt very at ease speaking to Tom, he always listened with compassion and gave great advise on exercise I could perform to help myself.
