About Dr. Stephen Monaghan
Dr Stephen Monaghan is an experienced General Practitioner with a specialist focus on vasectomy, practising at the Monaghan and Morrow Vasectomy Clinic. He graduated with an MB ChB BAO from Queen’s University Belfast in 1998 and completed his MRCGP in 2005. Before moving into General Practice, Dr Monaghan gained extensive clinical experience working in Accident and Emergency departments, including a period in New Zealand, which helped shape his calm, hands-on approach to patient care.
With a longstanding interest in minor surgery, he is an active member of the Association of Surgeons in Primary Care (ASPC) and is accredited as a vasectomy trainer. Dr Monaghan has undertaken comprehensive training in minimally invasive vasectomy techniques and has performed more than 1,500 procedures. Since 2015, he has dedicated his practice to delivering high-quality vasectomy services, combining technical expertise with a reassuring and patient-centred manner.
Dr Monaghan is passionate about offering focused, specialist care that prioritises safety, comfort, and clear communication. Outside of clinical practice, he leads a full and active lifestyle, enjoying cycling, running, and music.
