Dr. Muhammad Umar is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in urogynaecology. He graduated from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan in 1993 and subsequently moved to the UK, where he completed his membership examinations at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London. He is also a proud member of the European Urogynaecological Association (EUGA).
In 1996, Dr. Umar relocated to Ireland, where he undertook his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at major hospitals across the country, including the Mid-Western Regional Maternity Hospital and Barringtons Hospital in Limerick. He was awarded his specialist title in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2010.
Throughout his career, Dr. Umar has been actively involved in medical education, teaching students from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and University College Cork. He has contributed to numerous publications, research projects, and presentations. He is also a member of the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).

Dr Umar is so pleasant to and interested in his patients. He explains things in an easy to understand manner and you can tell he’s interested in your overall health as well as particular conditions. We had a very successful and very positive experience with Mr Umar. After several miscarriages, we attended Mr Umar for a consultation and he stated that he could help and we discussed our options. While it took some time, we reached our goals and after a small surgery with Mr Umar we tried again naturally and we were successful. He carefully monitored the pregnancy right up until delivery and for my 6 week post partum appointment also. He is a direct and straight talker and is open and honest to questions and concerns at any time as his knowledge is thorough. I would advise anybody attending to ask questions and while it can be a difficult and long journey, ultimately his success rate speaks for itself.
