Mrs Karen Cunningham

Mrs. Karen Cunningham is a compassionate and highly skilled Psychotherapist based in Dublin. She has lived in different countries for over 30 years and through that has vast experience in adapting to new cultures. Accredited by the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP), Karen brings over 18 years of experience in providing therapeutic support to individuals facing various challenges.

Karen's journey in psychology began with a Bachelor's degree (BA) from University College Dublin in 1991. She later pursued specialised training, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Studies and a Diploma in Psychotherapy. She also holds an Advanced Certificate in Online & Telephone Counselling and an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision.

Karen's therapeutic services cover a wide range of mental health issues, including Abuse, Anger Management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cultural Issues, Depression, General Counselling, Health Related Issues, Mental Health Issues, Personal Development, Self Esteem/Confidence, Stress, and Women's Issues. Her empathetic approach and deep understanding allow clients to explore their concerns in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Drawing from an Existential and Psychodynamic framework, Karen helps individuals navigate existential questions, uncover unconscious patterns, and explore the complexities of human experience. She believes in empowering clients to discover their inner strengths, fostering personal growth and resilience.
