Emma Connolly is the Physiotherapy Manager at Fit For Life, bringing over a decade of clinical and leadership experience to the role. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Teesside University in the UK and has been an integral part of the Fit For Life team since 2013.

Emma was appointed Physiotherapy Manager in 2020 and leads on clinical governance, quality assurance, and multidisciplinary team performance, ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care. She is recognised for her organised, motivated, and person-centred approach, as well as her commitment to innovation and evidence-based practice.

Her clinical background is rooted in older adult rehabilitation, falls prevention, post-operative recovery, and community-based physiotherapy services. Emma’s experience spans individual and multidisciplinary assessments, functional and falls risk evaluations, post-hospital reablement, and tailored treatment programmes for older adults, both in the community and long-term care settings. She has also delivered specialised group exercise therapy for adults with diverse physical and cognitive needs.

As manager, Emma oversees the professional development and supervision of physiotherapists, assistants, and students, as well as maintaining accreditation standards, facilitating training, and supporting service innovation. She is currently completing an MSc in Neurorehabilitation, further deepening her expertise and enhancing the provision of neurological rehabilitation services within Fit For Life.
