About Me I am a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a deep passion for supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people. I graduated with honours in Medicine from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2006. My career began in medical paediatrics, providing me with a strong foundation in physical health and child development, which naturally led me to specialise in the emotional and psychological needs of children. I completed my psychiatric training in the West of Ireland and have spent a number of years working as a Consultant within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). I hold memberships with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (Paediatrics), the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK), and the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland.

Conditions I Treat & How I Can Help My dual training in paediatrics and psychiatry underpins a holistic, developmental approach to mental healthcare. My key areas of focus include:

• ADHD & Autism (Neurodiversity): I have extensive experience in the assessment and therapeutic support of neurodivergent children and adolescents, with a particular clinical interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
• Child & Adolescent Mental Health: Providing practical, evidence-based care for young people facing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Holistic Development: Integrating my strong grounding in child development and
  physical health with psychiatric care to address the comprehensive needs of your child.

My Approach to Care I understand the unique challenges facing children and families today, and my work is grounded in providing thoughtful and practical support. I work closely and collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary agencies to ensure children receive the targeted guidance they need to thrive and reach their full potential. Additionally, I am passionate about service development and have led award-winning initiatives aimed at improving the standard of care for young people and their families.
